How to Sync Data (Chart of Accounts and Dimensions) Optionally
To sync specific data from Business Central (BC365) to Envoice, start by turning off the full master data sync option in your Envoice settings. Once this option is deactivated, you can manually select the individual items, such as the chart of accounts and dimensions, that you want to sync. This allows you to sync only the data you need.
If you want to sync most of the data initially, keep the full sync option on for the first sync. After the initial sync is complete, you can turn off the full sync option and uncheck any items you wish to hide in Envoice.
How to republish documents
To republish a document like a bill, receipt, or expense report from Envoice, you first need to delete the previously sent document from BC365. Once the document is deleted, you can go back to Envoice and republish the document.
Retrieving Logs for Debugging Failed Requests in Envoice
In case of an error, it is beneficial to provide Envoice with logs for the specific request that failed. Follow these steps to retrieve and send the necessary logs:
- Log in to your Business Central Account.
- Navigate to and open the Envoice Log page.
- Identify the request that failed. You can usually spot these by error messages or failure indicators. Typically, a failed request will have a status code other than 200 (which indicates success).
- Retrieve the logs:
- API Request Log: If the value in this column is Yes, it means there is content available for the request. Click on the Yes value. This action should initiate the download of the request content.
- API Response Log: If the value in this column is Yes, it means there is content available for the response. Click on the Yes value. This action should initiate the download of the request content.
- Save the downloaded files securely. Provide these files to Envoice Support for further analysis and troubleshooting.
Additional Tips:
- Ensure you are logged into an account with sufficient permissions to access and download logs.
